Anacreontic Society

Anacreontic Society is a modern progressive rock project built for listeners who like their rock with twists, colors, and a few surprises along the way. Founded by producer, songwriter, composer, and lyricist Roberto Nogueira, it blends 70s and 80s rock spirit with contemporary pop instincts, electronic dance music, classical orchestration, and a wide-open love for crossing genres. The name comes from the Anacreontic clubs of 18th-century London and Ireland, where amateur musicians gathered to play, experiment, and enjoy music freely. That same restless, creative energy drives the project today, just with louder guitars, cinematic arrangements, and a lot more rock attitude. The debut album COLORS reflects Roberto’s journey from his hometown of Rio de Janeiro to the US and Spain, turning global influences into a shape-shifting musical ride. One moment you may hear an orchestral waltz, the next a full-on rock explosion; each track has its own flavor, but the album moves like a continuous soundtrack rather than a random playlist. Guest artists also join the trip, adding their own spark while keeping the whole ride flowing as one. Anacreontic Society doesn’t try to stay in one lane.
