Michael Hakim

Michael Hakim is a Los Angeles based artist of Lebanese and Palestinian roots, creating a sound at the intersection of American R&B and Arab music. Growing up in LA while spending his summers in Lebanon, Michael was raised between two worlds. His music reflects both, pairing the melodies, rhythms, and language of the Arab world with the R&B he grew up listening to in America. Singing in both English and Arabic, he calls that intersection AR&B. His latest album, AR&B, is his clearest expression of that sound yet. The project moves between intimate R&B records and Arab influenced production, including She Knows / هي بتعرف, which has found a growing audience across social media. For Michael, the goal has always been simple: make music that feels true to both sides of who he is and create the kind of records he wished he could hear growing up.
