Biography & Metadata

Nsuhoridem Godwin Udeh, known by his stage name GUNCHØ, is a rap artist and singer-songwriter from Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in South-South Nigeria. Nicknamed the Akwa Enin (Mighty Elephant), Daddy GØ, and the Sancta Maria Showman, he blends Ibibio/Efik lingo with Hip-Hop, R&B, and Afro-Fusion to create a unique sonic experience that entertains while provoking thought. An emerging force from the South, GUNCHØ cites Burna Boy and Drake as major influences. Formerly known as G.Burner, he made his debut with the 2018 project XML (Xtra Mega Limit), featuring the breakout single “No Regrets” with close collaborator Lamar Shima. On March 6, 2020, he released his acclaimed debut mixtape Guncho Cruise, which delivered standout tracks like Trumpet, Chargie (ft. Rindss), Badman Flex, and Pedestal (ft. Abuja hip hop pioneers TedMilez and Zilla Oaks). The tape peaked at #40 on Apple Music All Genres and #9 on World Albums charts, marking his arrival as a serious talent. Since adopting the GUNCHØ moniker, he has continued his run with crowd favorites like Cooperate (2021), Bafana X2 (2023), and The GØ Manifesto (2023). With every release, he sharpens his identity as a boundary-pushing artist committed to merging entertainment, enlightenment, and cultural pride. For GUNCHØ, music is more than sound — it’s a rendezvous of art, consciousness, and vibe.
