Mondträume

MONDTRÄUME is a Spanish synthpop/darkwave project founded by producer Pikotto (Jose Ignacio Castaño Marquinez) in 2010. After releasing their debut album ‘Empty’ through the Belgian label Alfa Matrix in 2014—recognized by Side-Line Magazine as one of the best synthpop albums of the last decades—the project evolved into a signature blend of emotional electronics, dark atmospheres and futuristic minimalism. Throughout their career, MONDTRÄUME has performed alongside Solar Fake, Covenant, Hocico, Agonoize and Aesthetic Perfection, becoming a solid presence in the European dark-electro scene. Recent releases such as ‘Heart Machine’ and ‘Poisoned Love’ mark a new creative phase, leading to the upcoming album ‘Mind Games’ (2026), featuring collaborations with District 13, Neon Space Men, Color Theory and Antilav. Current lineup: Pikotto (programming, musical arrangement) and Nicky (vocals, lyrics).
