Biography & Metadata
A unique indie rock band with punk roots delivering songs of substance, exploring real life topics that many might find uncomfortable. If you prefer to stay asleep with your head up the arse of mainstream media, exit and listen to Radio Blah. The Cides, known for their razor-sharp lyrics and punchy punk-laced rock, crank up the intensity with their newest cut Silence Breeds Violence, which rips through the fabric of corporate media, selective morality, and social complacency. Although Paul Hayward leads the group, The Cides are not a fixed lineup. Amazing musicians contribute from around the world but with the core family drawn from the UK and France. Hayward was the co-founder of early UK punk band The Molesters (late 70s early ‘80s) writing songs about social injustice, apartheid and equal rights The Cides are supporters of anarchic structures from the roots up, such as communities and workers’ organisations, as opposed to archaic structures (monarchy, oligarchy etc) which consist of top-down governance from the few. 💀 take back control!
