Biography & Metadata

Born in Surulere, Lagos in 1999 and originally from Warri, Delta State, Akpewa Oghenetejiri Great, professionally known as UNCLEUGLY, is a Nigerian conscious Afro-fusion artist whose music is shaped by movement, culture, education, and lived experience. Raised across multiple environments throughout Nigeria and West Africa, UNCLEUGLY grew up constantly adapting to new cultures and perspectives. From living in Jos Barkin Ladi as a child to attending a Catholic boarding school, studying in Benin Republic, and later pursuing academics in Ghana, his journey has always existed beyond one location or identity. This exposure became the foundation of his creativity and worldview. His musical journey began through creating covers before transitioning into original records that reflected his own emotions, experiences, and observations. In 2024, he released his debut single Branama, which accumulated streams across platforms and marked the beginning of his official entry into the music scene. Since then, he has released multiple records and performed across several cities including Lagos, Abuja, Makurdi, Abraka, Warri, and Benin Republic. In 2025, he headlined the Nigeria Independence Day celebration in Benin Republic, further establishing his growing presence as a performer and cultural voice.
