hi its Emily aka Emarie! Inspired by Olivia Rodrigo, the 1975, lany, and Lizzy mcalpine, I aspire to make songs that cut deep and feel like pages from a diary. I've been writing songs since I was 15 and it immediately became my most vital outlet for self-expression. I'm so excited that Dead 2 Me is my first released original. Created as a ballad about my friend’s run ins with terrible guys, I felt like this universal longing is something so many people can relate to. It’s about learning how to take our power back when we are willing to give so much of ourselves away to people that don’t always see our value. This song is a soft acoustic preview that I wrote and recorded in my bedroom and I can't wait to share it with all of you!
