Biography & Metadata

Don Ergo is an R&B, Trap, and Pop artist defined by smooth, emotional vocals and an effortless urban cool. His sound blends bouncy, radio‑ready production with heartfelt storytelling, delivered through a voice that feels both youthful and timeless. Warm, outgoing, and unafraid to love deeply, he carries that vulnerability into every song. “If I Had a Dime”, a song originally written in 2011 , is the first release. Behind Don Ergo is veteran songwriter Micah J. Goodner, whose musical journey began long before the persona existed. Micah pursued music passionately in the mid‑2000s, but life demanded a different path. His wife’s life‑threatening illness and raising a son with Autism forced him to step away from his dreams to care for his family. Later, a devastating computer crash erased more than 30 original songs — a loss that felt final. Encouraged by friends and driven by a renewed creative spark, Micah recovered rough demos and stems from 12 of his favorite “lost” songs. Each of the songs released were originally written between 2011-2019. With the help of AI technology, he didn’t replace his past — he resurrected it. Don Ergo, an anagram of “Goodner,” became the artist Micah always imagined when he first wrote those songs: a young, energetic R&B vocalist in his prime. This project isn’t about AI replacing an artist; it’s about using technology to honor a creative spirit that life tried to silence.
