EZI

EZI is a Brooklyn based independent LGBTQ+ recording artist making moody, genre-blurring pop shaped by tension, emotional precision, and cinematic instinct. Raised in a first-generation Russian household on Long Island, she grew up surrounded by classical violin as her father taught lessons from home. Pop became her refuge, and eventually, her language. She first entered the spotlight as a teenager with a starring role on Nickelodeon’s The Other Kingdom. A chance meeting with Steve Madden led to her becoming the inaugural signee to 5Towns Records, where her debut EP AFRAID OF THE DARK amassed over 25 million streams. Its breakout single, “DaNcing in a RoOm,” charted on Billboard and was featured in Netflix’s Atypical. In 2022, her stark, cinematic cover of “Take My Breath Away” became the #1 used song on Instagram Reels in the U.S. for over three weeks, generating more than 40 million impressions and charting in Brazil’s Viral Top 40. Now fully independent, EZI released her debut album Into Your Power, Into The Light in 2024, followed by a companion string EP and the single “She’s Back.” In 2026 she was named by Interview Magazine as one of “Five Artists Making Magic,” and released “Freedom,” in collaboration with Kaskade. Her next EP, Crying In A Heatwave, arrives summer 2026, tracing queer love, heartbreak, and the messy, luminous process of coming back to yourself.
