The Sound

It is a long-held idea that authenticity is essential to the culture of hip-hop and the same is true with the emerging worship movement that has been growing for the last few years. Within both of these styles of music, the human experience is an important part of connecting with the music and, even more importantly, the lyrics that awaken our hearts to the feelings that are in all of us. As hip-hop has exploded and taken over pop culture the same is true for hip-hop and worship within the Church. The Sound is what emerged when we starting taking these two musical components and building collaborations to reimagine some of the largest worship songs as well as a few other up-and-coming songs.
