"When I decided that Dukh Dard Peeda is going to be my final album, I was angry because my life was at a crossroads where I couldn't afford making music anymore. So I took all that anger and channelized it into 9 songs, that I think are the culmination of everything that I have stood for as a musician. This is the last dance, my magnus opus." Working part-time at a college cafeteria in a foreign country, an engineering student saved around fifty dollars to buy his first guitar. Weeks of practice and a ton of scratches and recordings later, B-Leaf came to life. Since his childhood, B-Leaf has been in the midst of music. He started training as a vocalist in Hindustani classical and then the Indian percussion instrument tabla, all when he was just six years old. Later when he turned ten, he began learning the violin. It was not until he turned twenty that he realized how important the guitar would turn out to be in his journey. The guitar empowered him to embrace various styles of music he had grown up being influenced by, and at the same time gave him the opportunity to sing and play together. Therefore after he bought his first guitar, there was no looking back. He started writing songs after songs and has never been afraid to experiment with genres. His only aim, as B-Leaf is to continue making music that's honest and speaks from the heart; music that brings back memories about stories from life that are just difficult to let go of.
