Dylan Jones

Dylan Jones is a South London-born trumpeter, composer and improviser whose music blends jazz, cinematic composition and contemporary alternative influences. A former Tomorrow’s Warriors student and founding member of the award-winning Ezra Collective, he has been an active part of the UK jazz scene for over a decade, collaborating with leading artists including Nubya Garcia, Moses Boyd, Theon Cross, Corto Alto, Zara McFarlane, Blue Lab Beats, Joe Armon-Jones, Oscar Jerome, Ashley Henry, Swindle, Kojey Radical, Pip Millett and Theon Cross, as well as artists from across the wider music world including Loyle Carner and Jorja Smith. As a performer, Dylan has appeared at major venues and festivals including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, the Barbican, Royal Albert Hall, Jazz Cafe, KOKO, Roundhouse, Islington Assembly Hall, the Blue Note in New York and Love Supreme Jazz Festival, touring extensively throughout the UK, Europe and beyond. Drawing on a lifelong fascination with improvisation, Dylan’s own music combines expressive trumpet playing with rich orchestration, chamber strings, cinematic textures and powerful rhythmic landscapes. His forthcoming debut album brings together the spontaneity of jazz with the scale and emotional depth of film music, creating a sound that is both intimate and expansive.
