J Flavour

Bongani Maboea Aka "J Flavour" made his first appearance into the Amapiano scene beginning of 2019, with the hit song "Iskhathi" by Kwiish SA also known as "GongGong". Today J Flavour's signature ad-lib "Achuuu" is used on most Amapiano tracks and chanted by every MC's at night clubs across South Africa. J Flavour was born in a township called Vosloorus in the East of Johannesburg South Africa. Growing up J Flavour began his passion and journey into music Deejaying at his parents kitchen parties with a cassette tape player. He then began recording music professionally in 2015 J Flavour has collaborated with the likes of Lady Du on "Moresha" as well as Dosline on "E Lokshin". in 2021 he worked on a short film with choreographer Gregory Maqoma called "Retrace Retract". it was commissioned by the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland, the film used "J Flavour's Music" and went on to received four star reviews by The Guardian. J Flavour's has over 30k streams and over 15k listeners on Spotify
