Biography & Metadata

Wasteland Valley was formed in Steinkjer 2015, and their debut album "Break The Ice" was released in 2016. Then in 2017, original vocalist Espen Elden Olsen decided to leave the band. He was quickly replaced by Tor Erik Simensen, and the band started working on their second album "Pantheon" that was released in 2018. During the pandemics, drummer Espen Gotvasli had a wild idea to make an concept album about the events going on. This resulted in Wasteland Valley's third album simply named "The Pandemic", that was released in 2022. But in the aftermath, a couple of years of struggeling to keep the band together followed. Both not having time enough for the band and not having the motivation to continue started appearing within the band. This resulted in a one year hiatus in 2024. Then they all agreed to make a comeback to celebrate the bands 10th year anniversary, with a big hometown show in 2025. The plan was to either go out in style, or to make a new beginning and a new era of Wasteland Valley. Original vocalist Espen Elden Olsen joined the annniversary show as a guest artist, and this resulted in a reborn chemestry that all of them wanted to keep. So he ended up returning to band to make it a 6 man band that now are very ready for what the future brings! In 2026, a live album from the anniversary show was released, And the band currently works on recording new material.
