Ktlyn

California-based rapper Ktlyn has earned millions of followers online thanks to her playful, easygoing swagger. She frequently posts videos in which she adds her own verses to popular songs, and her version of "Handsomer" by Russ impressed its creator so much that he released it as an official remix, launching it into the charts in 2022. 
 Originally from San Diego, Ktlyn began uploading freestyles and remixes of other artists' songs around 2017. She gradually gained a following online, and songs such as "Bluntly" and "Boppin" streamed in the millions. Near the beginning of 2022, rapper Russ posted a preview of his song "Handsomer" on TikTok and asked other users to submit guest verses for the song. Ktlyn's version became the most popular, and after the original song was released in February, an official remix featuring Ktlyn followed in March. The song soon reached number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. Ktlyn released the singles "Big Mad" and "Hot" later in the year.
