Welcome to my safe space Hi, I'm Sara. I am a contemporary jazz vocalist and composer, specializing in merging pop styles with improvisational jazz artistry. I am currently working on my new album 'poetryfied' which has to do with a feeling of constancy and inner peace that I found over the years. We live in a meritocracy. It is important to do and do, to be financially successful, to go to and beyond one's own limits. We work restlessly, celebrate ourselves for overtime, self-exploitation and little sleep. This applies twice as much to musicians, because we are not only expected to work hard for our 'passion', but also to be modest and grateful. What do you need ? I think everyone deserves a ,pause button’. With my music I create an antipole to everyday stress, insecurity and restlessness that characterize our time. A retreat to listen and relax. A place to just be and remember our wishes far away from social expectations. Music is this ,pause button’.
