Zhengtao Pan

Zhengtao Pan is a 23-year old Shanghai-born composer, arranger, and pianist, increasingly recognized as one of the most in-demand composer/arrangers of his generation. As a alumni of Berklee College of Music with a double major in Jazz and Classical Music Composition. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in jazz writing and film scoring at the Eastman School of Music. He actively works in media scoring, arranges jazz tunes for studio orchestras and Big Bands, and writes concert music. Zhengtao holds on 20+ games, including 5 PC titles and 1 PS5 title. Zhengtao’s own signature large ensemble, the Zhengtao Pan Jazz Orchestra, has produced three albums in total (with one of them currently in production). Notable collaborations include guest artists such as Benny Benack III, Walter Smith III, and Itai Kriss on Scenery in My Story; Rufus Reid, Sara Gazarek, and Steve Wilson on Day by Day; and Sean Jones, Steven Feifke, Keita Ogawa, Nicole Zuraitis, Miguel Zenón, Sara Caswell, Jiazhuo Liu, and Vitor Gonçalves on Jade Dragonfly. As a pianist, Pan has appeared on stage with artists such as Andrew Gould, Sam Dillon, Edward Perez, John Sturino and Steve Wilson. In the concert & film music side, some of the orchestras that he worked with include European Recording Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Belarus Sonic Orchestra, and the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava.
