Biography & Metadata

Chaos Chaos are releasing their final album, Earth Girls, on March 6th, 2026. It's the closing chapter for the sister duo, Chloe and Asy Saavedra. The two have been bandmates since they were 8 and 10 years old. Before they were teens, Asy and Chloe were pulled out of school, being homeschooled while opening up for Cat Power, Pearl Jam, and other indie and grunge acts. While Asy and Chloe’s live talents defined Smoosh, they consciously moved away from that, and chose a new band name. They shifted their sound to more hybrid electronic/acoustic territory. When “Do You Feel It” soundtracked an emotional moment in Adult Swim’s sci-fi comedy Rick & Morty, the song began to gain traction. Chaos Chaos developed a cult following beyond the individual song, with listeners falling for their dense arrangements and cryptic lyrics. For their 2018 self-titled record, they continued developing their sound, exchanging the ultra-digital sheen of Crime for more tactile, analog synths. In 2026 the duo announced their final album and departure from the band. The sisters support each other in their respective solo journeys and plan to focus on celebrating their final album and healing their sister relationship. Earth Girls embraces their indie roots and sister telepathy. The majority of the material was recorded without a click-track, with just drums and keys in a room. The album explores the struggles of being sisters in a band and the codependency and beauty that comes from enmeshment.
