Scream Idol

In a world where Ziggy Stardust does Lady Gaga songs, SCREAM IDOL could definitely get a few gigs. Scream Idol is an off shoot of the band Star Star. Despite being considered a NY band they originally formed in Los Angeles. They signed to the Roadrunner label and released the big budget "The Love Drag Years" album. Shortly after, their drummer got sick and died, and their guitar player killed himself. Johnnie and Weeds moved to Europe where they met drummer Jack Kennedy hanging out at the clubs. To round out the new sound they added two singers, Diane Lane and Marie Crash also known as "The Trashettes". Johnnie Holliday - vocals, guitar, synths. Weeds - bass, vocals, synths. Jack Kennedy - drums. Diane Lane - vocals. Marie Crash - vocals.
