Kitaro

Kitaro is a Grammy and Golden Globe-winning composer and a pioneer of New Age music. For over four decades, he has created a signature sound blending electronic textures, traditional Japanese instruments, and Western melodies into deeply spiritual, cinematic compositions. He gained global fame with his 1980 soundtrack for NHK’s Silk Road, and later collaborated with artists like Mickey Hart The Light Of The Spirit (2025 Remaster) and Jon Anderson Dream. His work on Oliver Stone’s Heaven & Earth earned him a Golden Globe. Since joining Domo Records in 1994, Kitaro has released iconic albums like Kojiki (Remastered), Sacred Journey of Ku-Kai, Volume I, and Symphony Live in Istanbul. In 2023, he performed at Japan’s tallest Buddha for Zen: Live In Katsuyama (Deluxe Edition). With 17 Grammy nominations and a legacy of peace-focused music, Kitaro continues to inspire listeners around the world.
