Biography & Metadata
Crawford Mack is a Glaswegian indie/alternative artist based in London. Playful and precise in equal measure, his songs move between the personal and the political without announcing which is which; sharply observed, melodically generous, and never quite where you expect them to land. Growing up in Glasgow, he moved to London to study jazz at the Guildhall School of Music, developing a grounding in harmony and arrangement that runs quietly through everything he makes. A reputation built through relentless live work led to support slots for Tom Walker and The Paper Kites, alongside headline shows at King Tut's, The Bedford and The Glad Cafe & Pizza Express Live. His debut album 'Bread & Circuses', produced by Jamie Evans, drew comparisons across indie, folk-rock and chamber-pop. A run of singles followed with press support from BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio Scotland, The Scotsman, EARMILK and Songwriter Magazine. His forthcoming EP 'Panic Attack' made with collaborators Jamie Evans, Rory James and Luke Maher, and featuring drummer Alex Reeves of Elbow, Mack has produced his most focused and ambitious work to date. Debut single 'Boxes' was picked up by Fresh on the Net. Follow-up 'Back From The Brink' arrived in April 2026 with a music video filmed at the Asylum Chapel in Peckham, built around a handcrafted stained glass replica of a window in Glasgow Cathedral installed by Mack's five-times great-grandfather. The next single is 'Don't Play The Victim.'
