alien faktor was formed in the early 90's. Thomas Muschitz had been working on electronic music and punk music since the mid 80s, and this was the first foray into a fully integrated concept including industrial, noise and elements of metal. After multiple releases, and many shows and collaborations in the 90s, Thomas Muschitz and his longtime collaborator Mike Hunsberger put alien faktor on indefinite hold. In late 2025, inspired by his work in film and audio production, and disgusted with the state of the world, Thomas Muschitz began writing the first of many new songs that will be featured on the first new album in almost 30 years. Stockholm Syndrome returns to form, featuring the visual artwork of arterial spray… and cattle mutilation painter and MIAD professor James Barany. Thomas Muschitz and Mike Hunsberger are proud to return with new and old friends, a wealth of experience, and a respect for the sound from which they were born — to create something both familiar, and an evolved version of their original sound.
