Biography & Metadata
Lex Starwind is an underground hip-hop artist born in St. Albans, New York, and raised in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, where he’s been building his sound since the mid-90s. Known for sharp lyricism, cinematic themes, and sci-fi-infused introspection, Lex blends street realism with big-idea storytelling. He first made his mark with The 9-11 Album, followed by the sophomore release Ground Zero, establishing a reputation for fearless subject matter and conceptual depth. In 2010, he expanded his mythos with The Outlawstar, a cult-favorite project that leaned fully into his cosmic identity. Lex later collaborated with LCOB (Lost Children of Babylon) on Zeitgeist, and with Jon Murdock and Vanderslice on The Flying Dutchman, showcasing his versatility as both a solo voice and a collaborator. His latest solo album, Deep Space Rhyme (2024), finds him at his most refined — reflective, technical, and unapologetically himself. Rooted in underground tradition but never boxed in, Lex Starwind continues to evolve, one verse at a time, no gravity required.
