Biography & Metadata

Warren Trotter, professionally known as Really Doe, is a Grammy-winning artist, songwriter, producer, and music executive from Chicago. He began his career in the hip-hop group Go-Getters alongside childhood friends Ye (formerly Kanye West) and GLC, later becoming one of the first artists signed to Ye’s GOOD Music label. Chosen as the opening act for Ye’s historic College Dropout tour in 2003, Trotter quickly established himself as a powerful live performer. Trotter played a key creative role on Ye’s Late Registration, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, won four Grammys, and was named Rolling Stone’s Best Album of 2005. He was featured on the iconic track “We Major” alongside Ye and Nas. He continued touring globally on the Touch the Sky and Glow in the Dark tours, performing arenas with artists including Rihanna, N.E.R.D., Lupe Fiasco, and Fantasia. In 2011, Trotter contributed to Ye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time, earning a Grammy for his work on the 7x-Platinum single “All Of The Lights.” He later received Grammy nominations for contributions to Donda and VULTURES 1, including songwriting on “CARNIVAL,” a Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit that made Ye the only rapper to top the chart in three different decades. A frequent collaborator across multiple eras of modern hip-hop, Trotter remains an influential force as an artist, executive producer, and songwriter shaping the sound of contemporary rap.
