Biography & Metadata
Face The Maybe is a prog metal act formed in Barcelona (Spain) in 2009. The band has shared the stage with top names in the scene such as The Algorithm, Persefone, Hacride, and Hacktivist, and has released three studio albums and a live album: Insight (Nat Team Media, 2011), The Wanderer (Rock CD Records, 2016), Face The Maybe (Live) (Face The Maybe, 2020) and their recently released Three Sounds and a Pause (JBC Music, 2026). Their first album, Insight, was well received by both fans and critics due to its fresh, progressive, and bold approach. National media outlets such as Metal Hammer and Rock Estatal showcased the group. In 2016, with the release of The Wanderer, the band began to gain wider international recognition, featured in renowned platforms such as It Djents and The Circle Pit. Additionally, the playthrough video of 'The Dagger' (The Wanderer, 2016) was premiered through the Gear Gods YouTube channel. Their 2020 live album, Face The Maybe (Live), captured their powerful sound and songs from both studio albums. After a hiatus period, the already established band returns with their third studio album, Three Sounds and a Pause, ready to turn the prog scene on its head, taking their sound to new grounds, where intricate passages, of the likes of great exponents such as Animals As Leaders, Tesseract, or Textures, are combined with sharp moments of melancholy and atmosphere, which could meet the expectations of any Karnivool or Porcupine Tree listener.
