Daniella Firpo

Daniella Firpo is a brasilian singer and composer from Salvador (Bahia). Her father had Italian origins and was a lyric singer. Her mother, from Salvador de Bahia, was a guitar teacher with whom she learned and studied the popular song of her region. Free heart, she spends her youth among the fishermen and the beaches, in the serenatas, in the neighborhood parties, experiencing the reality of the people and the mystery of her Salvador and then transforming them into music. Daniella Firpo now lives in Italy and successfully proposes her Brazilian music participating to numerous festivals, music reviews, jazz clubs, theatrical and prose performances and World Music cultural events, which projects her on the national music scene. Her voice with a particularly warm timbre, combined with her original way of playing the guitar and her ability to write songs, make her an inimitable artist. Her music is a blend of her origins and an adoptive Italian culture, combining the sounds of the brazilian and jazz universes and rearranging the aspects of the two cultures.
