Biography & Metadata

HELMET PROJETC is a project, a dimension, a real journey through music in which the artist identifies, hides, takes refuge. Helmet project, a young percussionist and multi-instrumentalist, who expresses through his feelings a musical style that wants to fit into the new "crossover Jazz" or "Nujazz" scene (jazz rock, jazz electronic), upbeat, electronic ambient in which various musical styles blend together, in a sort of alchemy, using synthesizer electronics and traditional instruments in a harmonious way to create a new style that is close to both classic jazz, ambient and above all electronic. The musician from Modica (Sicily), finds in percussion the backbone of his compositions; the rhythm section is expressed not only by the classic drums but also by other traditional percussion instruments such as: marimba, xylophone, glockenspiel, pongos etc. With this pseudonym, behind which he hides almost out of discretion and shyness, he published two songs in 2021 with the Isulafactory label: Walking Alone (June 2021) and The Sound of Light (November 2021), later included in the EP "Quarantine Mood" released in April 2022. In October 2023 "Invisible Shapes" was released and then in May 2025 "Dark Vibes". In these last two songs the electronic sounds emerge more clearly without however giving up classical percussion.
