Biography & Metadata

Remii is a Nigerian singer songwriter vocalist born in the early 90s. As a Kid, he always dreamt of becoming a songwriter as it was a way for him to share pieces of his soul with everyone. Remii’s style is very unique to him. He has been described by many as the of Sam Smith, Adele and Nigeria’s own Asa, who, coincidentally, are some of his favourite recording artists. His deep soulful voice and tone have also been compared to the likes of Luther Vandross, George Ezra and Rag’n’Bone Man. Remii is known for his eclectic style. Though his main style can fall under blues/soul, he has been known to write and perform gospel, indie, folk, Jazz, Country, pop and even Afropop. Influenced by some of the great artists he heard growing up in Nigeria and the hundreds of talented artists he’s met in the Manchester music scene, it is no surprise that his music attempts to bring both worlds together in the way that he’s lived it, incorporating his mother tongue (Yoruba) into his soulful songs creating a fusion between Nigerian flavour and western soul.
