Biography & Metadata

Nashville-based rock artist Cook Allender delivers unapologetic, guitar-driven songs fueled by a lifelong love of ’90s and early 2000s rock. Fans of Queens of the Stone Age and Stone Temple Pilots will connect with his October release, "Building Bridges," arriving at the start of Sober October as an anthem built on second chances. A journey from active addiction toward self-preservation, Allender notes, "It’s this journey that offers the wisdom needed to help others." The artwork represents the bond between someone with experience and someone starting out. Raised in New Orleans, Allender wrote his first songs at age seven. While his path led through finance, the military, and film, music remained his throughline, eventually calling him back with full force. A true multi-hyphenate, Allender writes, produces, and directs his own music and visuals, bringing a distinctly cinematic edge to every release. Following his debut album Music Your Parents Hate (May 2026), "Building Bridges" leads toward his second album in 2027. His music has earned press praise, with Buscadero noting he "proves that rock music still has something worth saying" and Return of Rock highlighting his "crunching riffs and full-throttle choruses". Produced by Allender, the track balances heavy impact with space for vulnerability, delivering driving rhythms and an honest perspective that feels both familiar and fiercely fresh.
