Perry Project

“Animals That Trusted You” is Perry Project’s most personal and emotionally direct release to date. Written throughout 2024 by Tracy Perry and guitarist Stafford Christensen, the album draws from real experiences—divorce, family and friend separation, and the lasting weight of unresolved relationships. At its core, it explores what happens after trust is broken, not just between people, but within yourself. Sonically, the record leans into atmosphere and restraint, blending alternative rock textures with raw vulnerability. Guitars move between warm melodies and uneasy, off-balance tones, often shaped by unconventional tunings that add a subtle instability. The arrangements give space for emotion to settle, creating an intimate, unfiltered feel. “Callous” and “Nonsense Just Feels So Wrong” anchor the album, capturing its emotional range from quiet reflection to restrained intensity. Rather than offering resolution, “Animals That Trusted You” sits in the aftermath—examining the silence and echoes left behind when trust falls apart. https://linktr.ee/perryproject
