As young as eight years of age, I knew that I wanted to make music and be successful when I arrived in Germany”, recounts the native Belorussian. “But how? When you don’t have rich parents, you have to work for everything yourself.” And that is precisely what she did: At 13 years of age, she came across a scholarship for a theatre and vocal training school for youths at the Stage School. She has been singing her own self-written songs on stage since she was 17. At 18 years of age, she began working as a songwriter for Hamburg-base Boogie Park Studios and has since then written songs for and alongside many different international artists. It’s quite crazy, right? When viewed from the outside: yes. On the other hand, Polina already learned from an early age that having the right attitude makes a lot of things possible: “You simply have to believe in it and create positive thoughts, then that positivity will come back to you. But it is 24-hour work. You never “get off” of work, you live, eat and breathe the song. You can only do that if you love it.” And that’s what she does; her songs do not cast a shadow of a doubt.
