Biography & Metadata

Polygraph is a metalcore band from Quebec, Canada, blending melodic riff runs with crushing, head-banging breakdowns. Their dual-vocal dynamic merges high-range, energetic screams with deep, earthy growls balancing raw aggression and emotional depth. Drawing inspiration from 2010s metalcore icons like Bring Me The Horizon and Motionless in White, Polygraph fuses nostalgic heaviness with a modern, cinematic edge that captures what metalcore has evolved into today. Since launching in 2021 with their debut single Impress Me, Polygraph quickly made their mark winning the GMPQ Podcast Band of the Year award. Their first full-length album, The Process (2023), expanded their fanbase well beyond their local scene. In 2024, they took first place in the Road to Wacken Battle – Quebec, and their music has since reached international radio audiences across England, Mexico, and Australia. In October 2025, Polygraph released their latest EP, Nightbloom, a darker, more cinematic evolution of their sound. As MetalUniverse noted, it’s “a heavier, more cinematic take on metalcore, while staying true to its roots.” Their single Aconite was praised as “a toxic dose — musically powerful,” while Twenty-Six continues that exploration of emotion and atmosphere, blending vulnerability with intensity. With Nightbloom, Polygraph cements their place in the new wave of modern metalcore, pushing boundaries while staying true to the heart that started it all.
