Federico Díaz is a versatile guitarist, arranger, and composer from Mendoza, Argentina, currently based in New York City. With a strong foundation in tango, Argentine folklore, and chamber music, his work integrates classical and popular styles with clarity and authenticity. He has performed at major venues and festivals across North America, Latin America, and Europe, performing alongside distinguished artists such as Juan Falú, Daniel Binelli, Silvia Iriondo, Leo Genovese, Pedro Rossi, Bruno Cavallaro, Philippe Quint, and Lionel Cottet, among others. Among his most recent projects, he co-founded the Argentina Guitar Duo with Juan Almada, offering a fresh voice in the chamber music and classical guitar worlds. The duo has already made its mark with performances throughout Argentina, France, Italy, Germany, and Belgium in 2024. Dedicated to expanding the contemporary guitar repertoire, Federico has premiered numerous works written for him by composers including Frederic Hand, Diego Schissi, Miguel Barreilles, Andrea Casarrubios and Matías Tozzola. In addition to his work on stage, he is an active studio musician, contributing to a wide range of recordings. Upcoming projects include his debut album as a composer and performer, a duo album with vocalist Ana Rossi, and the Argentina Guitar Duo’s first release.
