Sam RucKus

Unwilling to rely on anyone, Sam RucKus prides himself on being self-made. Coming from the Central Valley, he worked in the fields of Turlock, Ca, to purchase his first microphone and claims it was boredom that motivated his interest in beat production. While originally interested in studying animation, programs were impacted, and unable to find talent to accommodate his beats he relocated to the South Bay hoping more opportunities would follow. Still, growing weary of trying to market his beats he decided to take matters into his own hands and began writing rhymes to accommodate them. 5 years later, 2 full length albums complete and a list of performances on his resume, Sam RucKus is only beginning his journey as a well-rounded Hip Hop artist. Teaching himself to produce, engineer and write lyrics, he holds a discography that will turn up the crowd, but stay true to his lyrical ability. Sam’s production style is usually geared towards sample-based boom bap but is known for delivering a hard-hitting trap sound while being unafraid to experiment with other genres. Currently residing in San Jose, Ca, and already working on his 3rd studio album, Sam also finds the time to dip into other mediums such as photography and videography so that he can add to his artistic resume. writer / Emcee.
