HII TRIO

A New Voice in Brazilian Jazz HII Trio is a Brazilian Jazz group that transcends musical boundaries, blending contemporary jazz with the richness of Brazilian music, elements of classical music, and global rhythms. Formed by Henrique Mota (piano), Iury Batista (acoustic and electric bass), and Igor Willcox (drums), the trio delivers a vibrant and creative repertoire of original compositions, where improvisation, interaction, and expressiveness are the foundation of their art. They are preparing to release their debut album, "Connections", in October 2025. The record promises original compositions and signifi cant collaborations with international jazz icons, including saxophonists, Bob Mintzer, Tony Lakatos, Seamus Blake, David Binney, and Bob Franceschini, as well as the talented trumpeter Rachel Therrien. The "Connections" project celebrates artistic exchange and the connection between cultures, resulting in a plural and sophisticated sound.
