Biography & Metadata
Flowjob was a progressive trance project formed in 2001 by Danish producers Joakim Hjørne and Mads Tinggaard. After some initial releases on Iboga Records, the duo developed their unique funky morning sound, resulting in tracks released on respect labels such as Tribal Vision, Flow, Iono Music, Spintwist, and Blue Tunes. Shortly after the release of their debut album, "Support Normality," Flowjob began touring the international trance circuit, performing in countries like Japan, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, Israel, Canada, and the USA, as well as almost every country in Europe. Their second album, "Zentertainment", was out in 2008 with a more upbeat vibe, featuring tracks that quickly became dance floor hits. In 2009, Mads unfortunately left the project due to injuries that prevented him from continuing to work in the studio or traveling to parties. Joakim then continued Flowjob as a solo artist, quickly becoming one of the most exciting artists in the progressive psytrance scene, releasing several tracks, many compilations, and seven acclaimed studio albums: "Sway" in 2011, "USB Ready" in 2013, "The Flow Must Go On" in 2014, "10000 Smiles Away" in 2015, "Better Rave Than Sorry" in 2016, "Science Before the Storm" in 2018 (all released by Iboga), and in 2020 his latest album, "Beatpolar", released by Iono Music. Joakim Flowjob left us suddenly in 2020, leaving behind a vast and irresistible musical catalog, as well as a grand legacy in the electronic music scene. (RIP)
