Janina Fialkowska

Janina Fialkowska is one of today’s most distinguished concert pianists, celebrated for her musical integrity, natural artistry and uniquely expressive sound. Described as “one of the Grandes Dames of piano playing” (Frankfurter Allgemeine), she has captivated audiences worldwide for nearly five decades. Her international career was launched in 1974 when Arthur Rubinstein, impressed by her prize-winning performance at his inaugural Master Piano Competition, became her mentor and hailed her as a “born Chopin interpreter.” Janina Fialkowska has performed with leading orchestras around the world under conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Bernard Haitink, Sir Georg Solti and Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
