Pegguy Tabu

Son of famous Congolese singer Tabu Ley Rochereau , he was born in Kinshasa. Singer, songwriter and composer, he is being immersed into the artistic and musical world of his father at a very young age. He succeed at making himself stand out very quickly following his numerous musical arrangements. His talent naturally lead him to work or lend his pen and his arrangements to various artists such as : Singuila; Amanda Malela; Diam's’; Booba; Ya Levis; Diddy; Disiz; Kayliah; La Fouine; Vitaa; Sefyu and many more... to only mention these fews. He also compose the song « Espérance de vie », from his older brother Youssoupha album « Noir Désir », a certified classic in French rap albums. Today, he is among the most accomplished composers and artistic directors of the afro-urban musical scene. He win back the hearts of die hard fans of Congolese rumba, after his late father’s passing, when he create the concept « Pegguy sings Tabu Ley Rochereau », a series of concerts in Kinshasa in which he perform the biggest hits from the king of rumba’s repertory. The audience is amazed and left out of words from listening to Tabu Ley Rochereau’s exact vocal cord and rename him Prince Ley in honor of Seigneur Ley. Then rich of experiences, in 2014, he release his first solo album titled « 100 tabu » in which he sing along two heavy weights of Congolese music, Papa Wemba and Koffi Olomide.
