HISTORY

HISTORY Swedish lyrics and a heavier rock sound – this is History. History was born out of a shared passion for melodic hard rock from the 1980s and a desire to give classic Swedish songs new life with a modern, heavier edge. Thomas, Peter ,Håkan.Back in the 1980s, they had played together and toured extensively across Sweden with the band Case from Nyköping. With strong influences from the Swedish rock scene of that era, they realized there was a wealth of great music that deserved renewed appreciation and a fresh approach. Why not record these songs with heavier sound. The work began with the ambition to release a series of five EPs, Swedish Legends Vol. 1–5, each containing four tracks. After an intensive period in the studio, Swedish Legends Vol. 1 was released, featuring among other songs “Mörkret Faller På” from 1980.A music video for the song was produced by Anders Fästader of Trailermade Production. The track gained strong traction on Spotify, and the video attracted a large audience on YouTube. This was followed by the release of the single “Dansa i Neon”, a reimagined version of Lena Philipsson’s (now in Roxette) classic pop hit. The accompanying video, produced by Peter Fröjd of Downstairs Photo, has to date received approximately 250,000 views on YouTube.Today History is 5 members, Håkan,Thomas, Peter,Marcus and Peder. www.history.nu https://youtube.com/@history8871 www.tiktok.com/@history.theband SONARI-ACB1ADE3
