Biography & Metadata

AJ Solaris’ future wave art-pop project M4TR (Music 4 The Revolution) brings you good times for the end times. Based in Chicago, M4TR merges synthpop, nu-disco, funk and epic ballads with wit and social critique, exploring modern collapse and cosmic rebirth by “dancing through dystopia.” In April 2026, AJ released Reimagination: The Remixes, Vol. 1, a collection of world-class dance collaborations with Billboard-topper Mr. Mig (Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake) and Grammy-winner Philip Larsen (Soft Cell, Erasure, OMD). He is currently co-producing Vol. 2 for late 2026. This evolution follows M4TR’s acclaimed album Love Is The Revolution (2025) and a decade of sonic rebellion including Rock To Resist By (2018), Next (2021), and M4TR LIVE (2024), reaching 2.8M+ streams on 4K+ playlists in 150 countries. AJ is working on two new M4TR albums simultaneously: On Winter’s Edge, down-tempo meditations on retreat and change; and How To Start A Fire, a high-energy return to the project’s activist roots taking on AI, autocracy and democratic renewal. M4TR has performed solo and with two live bands in Washington DC and Chicago at Uncommon Ground, Gallery Cabaret, Jammin Java, Songbyrd Café, Pearl Street Warehouse, DC Pieshop, The Renegade, Public Bar Live, The Pocket, Cherry Blossom Festival, Adams Morgan Porchfest, Petworth Porchfest, Crossroads, BOOM Charlotte, Georgetown Fete de Musique, Launch Music Fest and many more.
