LARRENWONG embodies the intersection of two rich cultural legacies. Born in Santa Clara, California, and raised in Union City, Bay Area, his name honors jazz pioneer Miles Davis. His musical DNA traces back to his grandfather, a former New York Philharmonic member. After trading NFL cleats for studio beats, following stints with the Seattle Seahawks, New York Giants, and Canadian teams, he channels athletic discipline into crafting soulful melodies. His 2025 EP, 4th & Long, a nod to his gridiron past, showcases his growth as a self-taught multi-instrumentalist mastering guitar, ukulele, bass, piano, and bassoon. His journey led him to Northwestern University, where he balanced academics and athletics while continuing to make music. College saw the release of his first project, Aria, which made its way onto Chicago radio and stadium speakers. After stepping away from football, LARREN’s entrepreneurial spirit emerged with tracks like “Andrea, Pt 2” and “Deacon,” and a COLORS performance of “Mama.” His career took off after opening for DaniLeigh on her 4 Velour Tour and signing with Anderson .Paak in 2023.
