Biography & Metadata

LABANOON is a Thai rock band featuring three members: Metee Arun (vocal/guitar), Anan Saman (bass), and Nattanon Srisaranon (drum). The band was formed during high school, when Metee, Anan, and former member Somporn Yuso decided to enter the Hot Wave Music Awards in 1997, making it all the way to the final 10 bands. They released their debut album "Nom Sod" in 1998, which became a nationwide hit, driven by the uniquely charming single "Yam" — a sound unlike anything in the mainstream at the time. More hits followed across several albums, including Kon Tua Dam, 191, Tao Doem, and Faen Gao. After a lengthy hiatus, the band made their come back in 2014 with the album N.E.W.S., which was an overwhelming success with almost every track becoming a hit — including Chueak Wiset, Phae Thang, Jai Klang Mueang, Sueksanari, Phalang Ngan Jon, and Chan Ko Kong. In 2017, they held their first-ever major concert, "LABANOON Concert: Open the Box", celebrating 20 years together. Most recently in 2021, they released the album Delivery, continuing their run of hits with tracks like Dok Fa and Rak Khon Phit.
