Biography & Metadata

Burn Like California began as Jeremiah Anderson’s passion project in 2019. Fresh out of high school with more ambition than a solid plan, he teamed up with former Royal Suns frontman Liam Kitchen, and together they started writing songs and playing DIY shows wherever someone was reckless enough to let them. Soon after, Jeremiah’s cousin Nicholas Donaghy joined, and the band became known for their loud and rambunctious performances across the Central Coast. In 2021, drummer Emmett Henry stumbled upon the band at a backyard show and decided to stick around, holding down the beat until 2024. Eventually, everyone got tired of playing the same old songs and realized they had other things to scream about, leading them to part ways. Though on hiatus, Burn Like California leaves behind a studio album and a handful of singles as proof that, at one point, they almost had it together. Their message remains the same: be yourself, chase what sets your soul on fire, and never let the world put out your spark. At the end of the day, it was all just A Vision in the Flames. In loving memory of Burn Like California (2019–2024).
