Simon Baughen

Simon Baughen is a Bristol indie singer-songwriter crafting melodic, guitar-driven music that bridges the gap between classic indie folk, melodic indie rock, and heartfelt americana. Led by the psychedelic retro punk of his standout single Heart of the sun, Simon’s solo catalogue—including records like albums “Coast to Coast” and “Songs of Love and Loss”—frequently feature the soulful, rootsy textures of fiddle and pedal steel guitar. Whether performing alt country with The Good Ole Country & Wessex Boys, driving the melodic indie energy of The Spring Green Trio or diving into his curated 80s Indie Rock Revival community, Simon's work is united by a timeless songwriting sensibility. His archival SA55 projects further expand his sonic footprint, exploring the nostalgic realms of lo-fi synth-pop and post-punkSimon's work is united by a timeless songwriting sensibility. His recent revival of 80s cult band SA55 material further expands his sonic footprint, exploring the nostalgic realms of lo-fi synth-pop and post-punk.
