It is the year 2178. The world is governed by ANOVUS, a benevolent intelligence that has propelled humanity to the limits of prosperity. Clean energy, synchronous infrastructure, total stability for 115 billion humans across 26 zones are just a few of the many things ANOVUS has ushered in this new era. Humanity has never been safer. When ANOVUS disappears without warning, civilization must come to terms with its dependence to the intelligence. This project explores what happens when we outsource our survival, our ethics, and our purpose to something we no longer understand. Can humanity rebuild without its crutch? Can humanity uncover the secrets ANOVUS has been hiding? Or have we already evolved past the point of no return?
