Biography & Metadata

Genuine. Versatile. Relentless. Ryan Trotti has never fit neatly into one lane, and he’s never tried to. Raised on traditional country, classic rock and ‘90s hip-hop, the Carolina-born singer, songwriter and musician has built a sound that pulls from all three while keeping country at its core. Gritty guitars, modern production, sharp lyricism and Southern attitude have become trademarks of an artist equally comfortable delivering a hard-hitting country-rock anthem or a song built around a story. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, Trotti began on piano in the third grade before teaching himself guitar, drums and production. He started writing and recording young, later producing and writing across country, rock, pop and hip-hop, including studio work with platinum-selling rock band Crossfade. In 2019, Trotti was named Carolina Country Music Awards Entertainer of the Year. Since then, he has continued building his career through touring, songwriting and independent releases, performing everywhere from Nashville’s Broadway to Carolina Country Music Fest. Now based in Nashville, Trotti is leaning harder than ever into the sound that feels most like him: modern country with rock-and-roll muscle, memorable hooks and lyrics that still matter. His latest release, “Tequila Cowboy,” showcases his knack for storytelling, characters and putting a fresh spin on familiar country themes without losing the genre’s roots.
