Rio Tashan

Rio Tashan is a London-based selector whose approach to club music is rooted in his raver first mentality, focusing on driving and soulful tracks. Born into a musical family with roots in the UK Drum & Bass scene, Rio’s influences extend far and wide with no singular genre or inspiration locking down the talented young DJ. Rio resists genre boundaries in favour of storytelling, drawing connections between sounds that feel instinctive rather than prescribed. Rio released his first single of 2026 ft Kosmo Kint in April on Y.O.U.R.S. This will be followed by a remix of Addy Weitzman on Seth Troxler’s Slacker 85. His summer single ‘One & Only’ will follow shortly after and is already turning heads from many DJ’s. Upcoming gig highlights include Sankeys Manchester, Hideout, and Appetite On The Farm. Rio is one to watch for what is turning out to be an explosive 2026. Rio launched ‘Expressions’, his own brand, debuting with a nine-date UK tour across some of the region’s most respected dance floors. It kicked off in Room 3 at fabric London and also visited The Love Inn, Sneaky Pete’s, Gonzo’s, Stealth and more, with guest artists along the way including Eats Everything and Ewan Mcvicar. Rio builds his curation off the feelings and energy of the night and moment.
