Laleh

Laleh Pourkarim is one of Sweden’s most unique and beloved artists. There is truly only one Laleh. From her self-titled debut album in 2005, featuring songs like “Live Tomorrow,” she showcased her talent for blending poetic lyrics with instantly captivating pop melodies. Laleh is known for her unconventional approach to songwriting—often creating her music in solitude, playing most of the instruments and producing herself, while mastering the art of balancing playfulness with vulnerability. She has a remarkable ability to seamlessly switch between Swedish and English without ever losing her authenticity. With hits like “Some Die Young,” ”Colors” “Bara få va mig själv,” “Tack förlåt,” “Goliat,” “En stund på jorden,” and “Det kommer bli bra,” she has not only topped the charts but also become one of Sweden’s most sought-after songwriters, crafting songs for numerous international artists. She is also the first woman in history to win a Grammis for producer of the year, she has made quite a name for herself in the world of song-writing and producing. Laleh is not just an artist—she is a producer, a musician, and a force of nature. She has carved out a special place in our music history, always following her own path, with her heart on her sleeve and the world as her inspiration, there is only one Laleh.
