Future Prophecies

Future Prophecies is the brainchild of Richard Animashaun Thomas and Tony Anthun. They perform as a hybrid live act, blending DJ skills and musicianship - sometimes with the added flavour of MC's - culminating in a new sound that breaks traditional musical barriers. The duo released their album "Warlords Rising" on Subtitles Music and Beatservice Records in 2004/2005 and signed with labels like DJ Fresh's Breakbeat Kaos, Rob Playford's Moving Shadow, and DJ Hype's Ganja Records. They have worked with countless artists ranging from Mike Patton and Jamelia to Norwegian jazz royalties like Nils Petter Molvær and Bugge Wesseltoft. Now that a whole new generation has discovered the bass music scene, Future Prophecies is the perfect act to show them the roots of this genre. Before most people knew what drum & bass was, they were championing their sound in venues from Brixton to Siberia and performing alongside artists like Pendulum, Chase & Status, Sub Focus, Camo & Krooked, Malux, Teebee, Grooverider, and Adam F. After a break of more than 10 years, Future Prophecies are now experimenting and frankensteining new music and have prepared a monstrous set showcasing their flavor of drum & bass, where it has been, and where it's headed, with dubs, anthems, and exclusive material. “Music is only now…..Begin!”
