NYC-based artist, Benjamin Hey! aka "The Captain" has been writing a song daily since 4/15/2017. As a songwriter/producer, he has achieved Billboard success with Laverne Cox's club song debut, "Beat For The Gods" & John Beyer’s adult contemporary radio hit “Love You More” (Mediabase Chart #37) With a fashion-forward image that is Hollywood mixed with a street edge, he created his full length debut “LAX," which helped take his creativity to international ground and gained him the nickname… ”The Captain.” “The Captain” is riding high with his first rap single, “Ra-ta-tat-tat” an east coast conscious rap song that pleads for an end to gun violence. But his standout is a hip-hop/R&B love song titled “No Samples’” The song produced by Young Cutta (NBA Youngboy, Meek Mill) reminds listeners to not settle in love. Both songs are released under the JBM (John Beyer Music) imprint. 2025 & 2026 has led Benjamin Hey! into the world of musical theatre.
